Quantum Notary

File fingerprinting and blockchain timestamping.

Overview

Quantum Notary computes a SHA-256 fingerprint of a file and anchors it in a transaction on Base, the Ethereum Layer 2 network. The original file is not placed on-chain.

Anyone holding the file can later reproduce the fingerprint and compare it with the public record, with no account required. This can support the conclusion that the file existed in that exact form no later than the recorded transaction.

Typical uses include proving delivery dates for creative work, preserving move-in photos, and showing that a dataset or exhibit has not changed since a given point.
